If I could go back in time to a historical event, it would be the March on Washington in 1963. I would love to hear the I Have a Dream speech in person because it has such a profound affect on me. I am very thankful for what Martin Luther King, Jr has fought and died for, but sometimes I think I take freedom for granted. I do take for granted that things that are not segregated like they were over 40 years ago. I can drink from any water fountain I want, dine from any restaurants I choose, and had the opportunity to attend any school I wished. Yes, we are truely blessed for what Martin Luther King, Jr has done with respect to the Cival Rights Movement. So, when I bitch about little things, I look at pictures like this to the left, and then I realize all of my problems are petty to what my people have gone through back then.
