This Man Still Has a Job?!!

I am very disappointed to see that Don Imus still has a job after the racist and sexist comments he made about the black members of the Women's Rutgers Basketball Team. In case you haven't already heard, last Wednesday Don Imus called the black team members "nappy headed hoes" and then went even further with his racist banter referring to both teams, Rutgers and Tennessee, as "jigaboos and wannabees" while he tried unsuccessfully to reference a Spike Lee movie. Some say that Imus has the right to the freedom of speech and I do agree that everyone in this country should have a freedom of speech, however, he crossed the line and should be held accountable! A simple slap on the wrist i.e. suspension is not enough. A half assed apology on the Al Sharpton radio show is not certainly not enough! Don Imus insincerity is like salt poured on a open and bleeding wound.

As a black woman, I am offended and mad as hell! In fact, I am so mad that I filed a complaint with the FCC. I think this is more than a white and black issue. It's a human rights issue. These young women deserves much more respect. I don't care what race they are.
